Marion Council Approves East West Extension Road
The Marion City Council approved an east west extension from Alburnett Lane to Indian Creek Road and 25th Avenue. The route, prepared by Shive Hattery and Associates, would run east then northeast to Indian Creek Road, crossing Indian Creek at the bridge area and handling 10 000 to 11 000 cars daily to ease Seventh and Eighth avenues traffic. The plan delays extending 29th Avenue west past Linn Mar school campus.
