Verona G. Allison 45 of Cedar Rapids died from injuries after a Saturday collision on highway 96 near Gladbrook. She had been hospitalized in Marshalltown and died Sunday at 11 a.m. Evan McCullum 50 of Marshalltown was hospitalized with fractures and facial lacerations. Services set for Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Goettsch funeral home Gladbrook with burial in Gladbrook cemetery.

Urbana farmer and lifelong resident Orville D Manley 30 died in a cornpicker accident on his father Lewis Manley’s farm west of Center Point. He died instantly from a broken neck when clothing entangled in a power take off between a tractor and a cornpicker. He will be buried in Urbana cemetery after services at Urbana Christian church Thursday at 2 p.m. Survivors include his wife Mildred Norman, three children, parents, a sister Fern Boyles, and two brothers. CHICAGO UP A $50 000 bull died Sunday night at the International Livestock Exposition. Eileenmere 1425 owned by J. Garrett Tolan Farms Pleasant Plains Illinois died despite oxygen and antibiotics.
