Ritualistic killer linked to seven murders at Point Reyes

Homicide ruled in Tama County

The unidentified woman found in a Tama County ditch Sunday has been ruled a homicide. Autopsy in Cedar Rapids confirmed death as homicide. She was a white woman in her mid twenties, about 5 feet 7, 140 pounds, with dark brown hair and a heart tattoo on her left hand. The body was found near Anderson Quarry north of Montour, close to U.S. Route 30.

Leading indicators rise slowly as October gains fade

The Commerce Department reports a 0.9 percent October rise in the Index of Leading Indicators, far weaker than September's 3.1 percent surge.
