Amana map designation changed after community concerns
Rettig says he learned of the hate map label earlier this month and contacted the center twice by email and twice by phone. A 30 minute call with a center representative led to a decision to discuss with a superior on vacation, and by Monday media reports indicated the map had been changed. The center apologized and clarified the map flags where hate activity exists, not safe harbors, listing The Daily Stormer as active in several cities. Rettig believes Amana’s record is now corrected and accurate.
