Yacht Missing Amid Storm Found Safe
The Golden Eye, a 47-foot yacht en route from Bermuda to Brielle New Jersey, was found safe but disabled about 250 miles off Norfolk Virginia. Five men aboard were reported in good condition after a Swedish tanker spotted the craft and radioed the Camp bell coast guard cutter. The Campbell towed the yacht to Norfolk as crews investigated damage including water in one engine and two nonfunctional generators and radio. The voyage began a week earlier and the yacht failed to arrive as scheduled.
