Fire incidents reported on Glass road NE and Mount Vernon road SE. A Senet Johnson noted a grass fire on a farm, and a car fire belonging to Mrs. Bessie Weatherwax at 517 B Avenue NE was caused by a short circuit and confined to the car cushions.

Carrie M Yardho, 83, of 1112 First Avenue W, died at home Friday at 7 20 a.m.

Odessa Lydia King, 60, of 928 Thursday Avenue died at 8:15 p.m. She was born in Toddville on July 10, 1881 and lived in Cedar Rapids most of her life. She is survived by a daughter Doris King of Cedar Rapids, two sons Roland and Jessie Oliphant of Toddville, a son F Millburn of Marion, a brother Carl Morris of Center Point, and other relatives.
Carrie M. Yarcho died at her Cedar Rapids home after a three week illness. Born November 30 1858 in McHenry county Illinois she moved to Shellrock and later Cedar Rapids where she married John Yarcho July 24 1881. She is survived by a daughter Mrs Ta Miorans two sons I W Yarcho and Maj E D Yarcho a brother Henry Reiner seven grandchildren eight great grandchildren and a funeral is pending at Moen funeral home.
