Cedar Rapids nighttime farmers market draws big crowd and mix of crowding
The Gazette sponsored event drew an estimated 25 000 to 30 000 people with Hailey Whitters headlining at Hoopla on the Main Stage. Organizers spread the footprint, added lighting, increased law enforcement and limited vendors to one side of the street to ease congestion. Police reported no incidents as crowds enjoyed the expanded market and night hours amid mild weather.
