Liberty man gets 35 year term in murder-for-hire case
Justin L. DeWitt, 38, was sentenced in Johnson County District Court to 35 years for two counts of attempted murder and two counts of solicitation to commit murder. He must serve 70 percent before parole and faces separate Muscatine County murder-for-hire charges. The case involved hiring a hit man who was an undercover officer and threats to a former business associate Chad Williams and his family.
