First Cedar County Phones Unearthed By Local Curiosity
Special to The Gazette Tipton the first telephones in Cedar county were uncovered by Fred B Wilson who dragged two drum like diaphrams from a second floor corner and demonstrated a 19th century line. People came from miles to see the demonstration. Dr S Miller recalls his mother hearing laughter from Frank Sheldon across the line and inviting dinner to follow.
