IDOT officials cleared in race bias suit in Iowa
A federal jury acquitted three Iowa Department of Transportation officials of racial discrimination in the 1980 promotion bid for Augustus Lartius, an Indian native. The panel found no proof that race influenced the decision and noted Lartius was considered with white applicants.
