No Big Increase Seen in Leases as Sept. 1 Deadline Near
Northeast Iowa economist James Jensen says cash rent hikes unlikely to surge next year as landlords must notify tenants by Sept. 1. Raw crop land rents vary 43 to 100 dollars per acre, averaging 75 to 80, with hay land up to 100 and pastures much lower. Flex leases gaining traction, allowing shared risk and profit between landlord and renter.
