Union mobilization for a general walkout in the cotton textile industry grows, with mass meetings and posters sent to local secretaries. Francis J. Gorman, head of the strike committee, says the national labor relations board will not avert the crisis.
In Los Angeles on a quiet Saturday ceremony Judge James H. Pope officiated Adolphe Menjou and Veree Teasdale’s wedding attended only by Menjou’s mother and brother.
