Cedar Rapids to buy 9000 tons of rock salt at 68.02 per ton
Cedar Rapids plans to purchase 9000 tons of rock salt for the winter at 68.02 dollars per ton from North American Salt Co. The move, approved by the City Council, follows bids with the Iowa Department of Transportation and is higher than last year’s price and well above three winters ago.
