American priest Kaiser shot dead in Kenya near Naivasha
Rev. John Kaiser a 67 year old Minnesota born priest of the Mill Hill Fathers was found shot to death beside a road near Naivasha 50 miles northwest of Nairobi. Police said a shotgun lay nearby and Kaiser had a head wound. Kaiser had been targeted over criticism of Kenya’s human rights record and faced deportation last year before a renewed work permit was granted. The U.S. Embassy pledged a full investigation.
