Public Defender John Logan says two secretaries are unpaid far too long, forcing cases to be assigned to private attorneys at about 50 dollars per hour. Iowa County Sheriff James Stockett criticized a Poweshiek County grand jury for not indicting Ronald Collins in the June 20 shooting death of Chad Dietze near Collins’ Victor mobile home. Dietze, 23, a former two time state wrestling champ, died from a single shotgun blast.
