Standup comics fly on Continental Express flights
Continental Express tried standup comedy on 17 minute Detroit to Cleveland flights with 30 passengers. Comedians wore lightweight shoulder amplifiers as pilots announced only essential safety info. Al Aprill performed when weather allowed, finding mixed reactions and turbulence limiting laughs. The trial is complete and it's unclear if the program continues or in which markets.
