Coralville voters approved the first of three readings on an ordinance restricting short term rentals under 90 days. Homes must be owner occupied, the owner present during stays, and the property pass an inspection with fines of 750 on the first night and 1000 for subsequent nights.

Colton S. Kunde, 18, is charged with second degree theft for stealing a Louis Vuitton purse valued at 1500 from an unlocked Marion car on July 20. A photo Kunde gave to his girlfriend led to the case when the owner recognized the purse on social media. Deputies recovered the purse at Kunde's home.
