Fourth Coliseum plan backed by county space advisory committee
The Linn County Citizens Space Advisory Committee endorsed a fourth remodel proposal for Veterans Memorial Coliseum to house county offices. The plan, advancing after a Wednesday vote, would adjust space on First Avenue and part of the auditorium with county costs estimated at 900000 to 1000000 and city costs at 200000 to 650000. Mayor Donald Canney signaled support, and the plan will be sent to the county Board of Supervisors, City Council, and Veterans Memorial Commission for feasibility review.
