Weekend Iowa crash toll rises to many deaths
Iowa reported a deadly weekend with a Chariton couple and their 2 year old son killed when their car hit a train south of Chariton. A Cedar Rapids man died in a trailer truck crash on I 80 near Red Desert Wyoming. Other fatal accidents included a Melrose couple, a Forest City two car crash, and a Chickasaw county road collision. A Cedar Rapids girl died from a motorcycle crash and several others were hospitalized or killed in Marengo. Services for Heilmann will be held Wednesday at 7 p.m.

Two Men Charged in Tama County Break In Case
James L. Ryder and Kingsley are charged in Tama and Marshall counties with attempted break in and possession of burglary tools. They were brought from Montour after a highway stop near Melbourne. Ryder’s bond was set at 2000 and he faces further arraignment. Kingsley was sent to Marshall County juvenile court for supervision.

Fatal weekend crashes claim multiple lives across Iowa
The report lists several fatal crashes from the weekend. Dean Edward Ludwig, 115, of Victor, died in a two car crash near Cherokee while a passenger in his uncle Gary Ludwig’s car.
