Carrier guests have busy day in Cedar Rapids
Twenty eight Gazette carriers, winners of a summer subscription contest, enjoy a packed opener in Cedar Rapids. They tour Paramount theater, swim at Y pool, treasure hunt in the business district, visit Shaver Park, and view city water works before a Majestic theater outing and a ball game at Beverpark. The group stays at the Y M C A and Gazette homes, with plans for further outings and a closing Wednesday return. EDGEWOOD notes follow with reunion details and tariff explanation letter.
