Buster stays in the hollow stump bungalow to care for sisters Jingle and Jangle while all three recover from chicken pox. They cannot join Uncle Wiggily and others on a picnic, as spreading the illness would be unfair. The mother explains the caution and offers to make fun for the trio.
Buster tries to calm Jingle and Jangle as they fight over a single rocking chair during a story time. After a loud quarrel and a tumble, Buster declares he will fashion another rocking chair. If the baseball tale returns, I will share Buster's barrel story then.
