Iowa City courthouse annex price raised to 33.4 million
Johnson County Board of Supervisors approved a higher bond amount and adjusted ballot language for a courthouse annex. The plan moves the building to the west side of the existing courthouse at 417 South Clinton Street and reduces size to 69,167 square feet while adding six courtrooms and space for clerks, judges, and meeting rooms. The $33.4 million bond would be on the November 4 ballot, needing 60 percent to pass.
