Wal-Mart gift aids Palo flood recovery efforts
The Wal-Mart Foundation donated 10000 to the Rebuild Palo Fund announced in Palo with Rep Kraig Paulsen at Velvette's Hair Salon. Fund disbursements total 136000 to residents mostly homeowners as aid to flood affected Palo businesses and residents. Cedar Rapids invites online review of flood damaged buildings parks and recreation system with upcoming open houses and options on City Hall and Veterans Memorial Building. Sac and Fox Trail closed from Monday 7 am for flood trail repairs expected to last ten working days before Labor Day weekend.
