Canadian Nazi hunter breaks York’s record in battle of the gap
Private Earl McAllister of Hamilton Ontario single handedly captures 160 fully armed Germans in France during the battle of the gap. He first fires on six Nazis in the road, then leads prisoners from a captured vehicle, then distracts a German trapped in woods, forcing surrender of 25, 60 more, and finally orders surrender from a 70-strong infantry detachment in an armored car. He sends captives to the rear with a French ally and continues the hunt.
