Seven Midwest markets posted record hog prices Friday. Peoria topped at 67.50 while Indianapolis Joliet reached 67.00 and South St. Paul St. Louis at 66.00. Sioux Falls Sioux City hit 65.00 with Omaha and Kansas City at 65.50 and 65.00. Light receipts spurred gains as packers bid early then backed off. Some observers expect a small rise in hog numbers next week while producers remain highly current.
