Channel Cat pilots aid boaters during sudden river storm
Two Quad Cities water taxis faced a sudden squall on the Mississippi. Captain Scott Sexton and deckhand Mindy Almanza helped a capsized sailboat passenger, towed in a boat, and coordinated with the Coast Guard as onlookers applauded. Colleagues Royce White and others note ongoing river safety duties and emergency responses aboard Channel Cat taxis.
