Feed Grain Supply Will Be Smaller in 1963 64
Washington reports the Agriculture Department estimates total feed grain supply for 1963 64 at about 208 million tons, 7 million below 1962 63 and 23 million below the 1960s peak. The 1963 crop is about 147 million tons, 4 million higher than 1962, though carryover is forecast to fall by about 11 million tons. The rise in production is linked to increased acreages of corn and grain sorghums.
