Williams Boulevard intersection work to start September first
City council awards contracts for Williams Boulevard and 16th Avenue SW widening with a $395,001 bid by F&E Paving Co. Cedar Rapids. State contributes $150,000, city funds cover the rest. Project adds left turn storage lanes, six lanes south of 16th Avenue, and northern widening to Holiday Inn area. Traffic disruption expected but no closure.
