Erickson, 37, replaces Al Ahern as Linn County Health Department director following an unexpected resignation. He will not immediately change operations but hopes to lower absenteeism and improve interdepartmental and agency interaction. Ahern, 62, led the department since May 15, 1970 and earns 36037 annually.
