Iowa Valley Food Co-op opens to sell local foods online
In Cedar Rapids an effort to boost access to local produce meat wine and cheese culminated with the opening of the Iowa Valley Food Co-op The distribution site at First Presbyterian Church hosted volunteers who sorted farmer deliveries and prepared online orders for customers Co-op organizer Jesse Singerman and founding member Scott Koepke spoke of the project as a rising tide for local foods.

Furlow 19 of Iowa City charged with assault causing bodily injury. Trevon L. Johnson 18 charged with interference with official acts injuring an officer. Cody J. Bascom 20 charged with second degree sexual abuse involving a child under 12 between July 2009 and July 2010. Curtis W. Evansdale Ski Club Tragedy Claims 9-Year-Old
A Waterhawks Ski Club member, nine years old, died after a water-skiing accident at Eagle Lake in Evansdale. The boat towing the skiers struck him as others fell in. He died at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo. No charges expected.
