Virginia girl still missing as volunteers end search
In Bassett Virginia volunteers combed rolling hills for 9 year old Jennifer Short after her parents were found shot to death. Richard Cox of Old Dominion Search and Rescue said no evidence was found and the search was halted with no direction to search. Henry County Sheriff Frank Cassell suggested the crime was committed by someone who knew the family and area and a new search warrant was likely. State police continued a wide area search around the Shorts home.
