Marion man collects bottles from A to Z in condo tour
Dave Rasdal profiles Cedar Rapids resident Dave Faas and his bottle filled home. Shelves line every room from kitchen to bedroom with seven to twelve ounce bottles, alphabetized from A Treat to Zitz. Faas began collecting 25 years ago at Hy Vee and buys or trades at flea markets, keeping many bottles pristine alongside license plates from across the U.S. He values rare pieces such as a 1940 Hawkeye Bottling Co. bottle and a 1966 Mountain Dew bottle, while noting the market varies with demand.
