Council delays decision on Eighth Avenue parking plan
The Marion City Council will revisit whether to allow parking on parts of Eighth Avenue at the Sept 7 meeting. A motion to bring up the issue at Thursday night’s meeting failed for lack of a second but passed unanimously when redirected to the next meeting. The panel had tabled removing parking on the north side from Second to 10th Streets while awaiting the Boyson Road Study Committee’s July report.
