Rejection Causes Blaiberg Death in Heart Case
Cape Town AP Dr Christiaan Barnard said heart transplant patient Phillip Blaiberg died from heart failure due to organ rejection. Autopsy results were pending final analysis. Blaiberg survived 563 days with a transplanted heart before death followed by details of kidney failure and pneumonia. His wife Eileen and daughter Jill survive.
