He started tractor umbrella manufacturing in 1980 and protections include a patent on a clothes pin bag that won’t blow off the line. Most production is done on the farm. Outside help is part-time. Spring is the heavy season for sales of tractor flags. demand has increased recently. Many products go to commercial firms as premiums or advertising. He’s politically cautious, leaning Republican, not enthusiastic for Goldwater, and would vote for Bramwell for Congress with a slight edge to Hultman over Hughes.

Keppy Crossbreds Win Carcass Show at Hawkeye Downs
Scott county entries swept the top four spots in the all town quality park hog judging at Hawkeye Downs Monday night. Ralph Keppy Jr of Walcott won both first and second with Hamp shire crossbreds, Roy Keppy of Davenport placed third with a Hampshire Berkshire crossbred, Larry Meppy of Eldridge took fourth with a Hampshire, and Paul Gronwinkel of Columbus Junction placed fifth with a Duroc. The 70 entries marked a record for the event.
