Robins Zoning Change Rejected for Mixed-Use Plan
The Robins Planning and Zoning Commission voted 2-4 to oppose sending a recommendation to the City Council on a proposed rezoning of 5.4 acres in Robins City Square from commercial to a planned unit development for a five-building mixed-use project by Compass Commercial Service Inc. Residents opposed the size of the buildings and residential space, citing a SaveRSquare petition with over 700 opponents. The council will still decide the fate of the land.
