A Cedar Rapids aviation exhibit displays 185 models from Maj. Robert M. Horsky’s 20 year Air Force career, plus uniforms, log books and artifacts. The collection travels through WW II Korea and Vietnam eras, with planes flown by Horsky and international crafts on loan at the Veterans Memorial Building.

The Cedar Rapids Parks and Recreation Department hosts Last Gasp Back to School Swim from 1 to 5 p.m. at Noelridge Aquatic Center in Cedar Rapids with 1 admission and activities including games relays dunk tank and inflatable castle. Special Olympics Iowa hosts the 20th Cedar Rapids Unified Golf Tournament from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Twin Pines Golf Course featuring three levels and partnerships with Unified Partners. More than 60 participants expected. no charge to participate.
