Iowa City ends its west side loop due to declining ridership effective immediately. The once daily afternoon run connected the downtown interchange with West High School and neighborhoods off Mormon Trek Boulevard Rohret Road and Sunset Street. A three member Infrastructure Committee backed converting E and F avenues NW between Third Street and Ellis Boulevard NW from one way to two way. The plan supports a spring 2012 start with the storm sewer project and includes about 180000 for temporary changes and 300000 for permanent upgrades.
