Dan Christensen a 44 year old sewer contractor living at 1106 Sixth Street NW was injured when an 18 foot sewer ditch at Ninth Street and Twentieth Avenue SW caved in Tuesday around 6 15 p m and buried him for four to five minutes He suffered a broken collarbone and internal injuries and was dug out by Bob Foy of Stacyville an employee of Christensen and taken to St Luke s hospital His condition Wednesday morning was listed as fairly good
Dan Barnett a 38 year old pistol expert was jailed in Lexington pending an inquest into the deaths of his estranged wife Cora 30 and Everett Ellison 31. He surrendered after the pair were found shot in a car. He says Ellison drew a gun and in the struggle it discharged.
