Oliver Longueville of the Iowa Electric and Central States Electric companies died Tuesday after shooting himself in the head. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 4 pm in Turner chapel, conducted by Rev. Harry Kremers. Burial is Cedar Memorial Park. Despondency over ill health was cited. He worked ten years at Iowa Electric after practicing law in Dubuque and Iowa Falls. He died in a hospital minutes after being found in a Dows building washroom where his offices were located.

The Gow family said Betty Gow, nurse to Charles A Lindbergh Jr during the kidnapping, will return to the United States in October to again serve as the Lindbergh baby’s nurse. Gow had been visiting England for holidays when the announcement was made.
President Hoover rose early for another fishing session on the Chesapeake while on a return trip from his vacation. White House plans shifted with the lure of fish and a mid afternoon return to Washington was anticipated after a good catch.
Mr and Mrs George Hall of Lexington Ohio were arrested by Iowa City authorities on a charge of larceny by trickery after allegedly changing an oil station attendant for more than 20 dollars while entering the south city limits on highway 161 about 5 pm Tuesday Don Johnson county was involved in the arrest for the Cedar Rapids News.
Cedar Rapids Coal Company secured the Cedar Rapids public schools coal contract at 3.72 dollars per ton for 5000 tons yearly use.
