Judge dismisses Mediacom suit over ImOn Iowa City deal
U S District Judge Charles Wolfe rules Mediacom failed to prove Iowa City violated laws by not forcing ImOn to obtain a cable franchise. ImOn, now leasing city fiber and delivering internet and phone, is not delivering cable and thus not required to seek a franchise. Mediacom plans appeal seeking parity with its rival.
