CPR pilot course approved by Cedar Rapids School Board
The Cedar Rapids Community School Board approved a 1978-79 pilot physical education course teaching CPR and the Heimlich Maneuver alongside a required swimming course for sophomores, with potential district-wide rollout in 1979-80. Additional items include field trip approval to St. Louis, two GWAEA contracts, a Four-Phase Systems data equipment rental agreement, a gas conversion contract for Roosevelt Junior High, and new stadium rental rates with non-educational organizations charged 20 percent of gross receipts.
