Further Dairy Expansion Not Needed Yapp Says
Special to The Gazette. Urbana Illinois. W W Yapp of the University of Illinois warns that rapid expansion could leave two million extra dairy cattle after the war hindering postwar adjustment. He notes shortages of protein concentrates and labor slowed 1944 milk output from 1942 peak and that dairymen failed to fully utilize available cows. Adjustments to demand come slowly and require anticipation.
