Firefighters responded to a manufactured home fire at 700 41st Ave Dr SW Lot 8 at 1 41 PM Saturday. Neighbors said a window air conditioner burned on the back of the home. damage was confined to the back half with smoke throughout. No occupants were home. no injuries. Investigators pursue cause.

In Washington a roof fire at 311 E Main St. prompted evacuations but no injuries. Kalona Fire Chief reports an electrical fire at 107 S Sixth St Lot 14 causing displacement but no injuries.
