Foundation 2 expands toll free crisis line statewide
Cedar Rapids agency Foundation 2 extends its 24 hour crisis line to all of Iowa by dialing 1 800 332 4224. Executive Director Steve Meyer says callers from rural areas will receive emergency counseling and referrals. The service will focus on Linn Jones Cedar Iowa Tama Benton and Washington counties. Program director Deb Porter notes rural residents often face access barriers to mental health services.

Reception for Emerald Knights Drum Corps Returns
A reception for the Emerald Knights Drum and Bugle Corps of Cedar Rapids is set for 5 30 am Sunday at the corps hall 712 Second Ave SE. Iowa City woman charged after 23 pounds marijuana seized
Keath Savage, 27, was arrested at Cedar Rapids Municipal Airport while picking up a package from Emery Worldwide containing 23 pounds of marijuana valued at about 17 thousand dollars. She faces a felony possession with intent to deliver charge and was released on bond after arrest by Cedar Rapids police following a warrant-based search. The package originated in Houston, Texas, and the investigation traced its delivery to the airport area around 9:30 am.
