South Vietnam panel on raid loot and indiscipline
A South Vietnamese legislative committee says some American soldiers may have stolen civilians property and cash during a raid to recover stolen goods. It found the charges of looting and beating by U S military police largely untrue and urged punishment of indiscipline in Cam Ranh and beyond. Police recovered tens of thousands in U S property including cigars beer and liquor and found 25 pounds of marijuana believed for sale to GIs.
