St Luke's Hospital Unveils 8 Million Wing Expansion
St Luke's Methodist hospital in Cedar Rapids opens an $8 million addition making it Iowa's largest private hospital. The 250 new beds bring total beds to 650 and add an intensive care unit, new operating rooms, observation rooms, and a modern Rehabilitation Center with therapy facilities. Admissions in 1967 were 17 568.
