Iowa sees growth in diversity but rural losses persist

Iowa's diversity rose 3.5 to 6.5 percent over the decade while the nation grew 7.7 to 11.4 percent. Politically, redistricting hinges on these shifts, with experts noting Democrats rely on big counties and Republicans dominate rural regions.
