Marion man pays fine with invalid reserve notes to avoid jail
Gary Lee Culver of rural Marion paid a $15 traffic fine in cash Friday after defying court orders by claiming he only has so called invalid reserve notes. He faced contempt for not possessing a valid license and had been given a deadline by Magistrate Nick Lillies.
