The act faced legal challenges but the Iowa Supreme Court lifted a temporary injunction, with backing from the Iowa Farm Bureau Federation and a producers organization.

GRINNELL. Authorities found an additional $55,000 in the apartment of James Totten who died at the county home a year ago. Police Chief Waldo Johnson and Justice of the Peace John Burma uncovered the money in a dresser drawer compartment. Totten, about 90, was a retired paperhanger and painter with two sisters in distant states. He had been sent to the county home after being found walking partly clothed in April 1954 and declared incompetent.
